Walking for UHN

Sunday 15th Mar

I decided this year that I wanted to go on this fundraising walk with my mom for a couple of reasons. Last year my mom was diagnosed with renal cell carcinoma and basal cell carcinoma. Both cancers were resolved successfully with surgery and, for the moment, she is cancer free. My grandmother was diagnosed with breast cancer several years ago and was treated at Princess Margaret Hospital. I was able to have a few extra years with her before she passed in 2012. Fundraising is so important for these excellent UHN hospitals to help advance research and technology.
