Support me as I walk to fund world class health care!

Dear friends and family,
I often express how lucky I am to live in a city with world class health care.  I am equally lucky to have worked in some of these fine institutions.  
But by far, the most impactful has been finding myself a recipient of this care.  In 2020, I had brain surgery at Toronto Western Hospital to remove a brain tumour.  I was then cared for as an in-patient at Toronto Rehabilitation Institute as I gained back my strength, my coordination and ability to walk. Fast forward five years, and I found myself at Toronto General Hospital undergoing open heart surgery.  All of these hospitals make up the University Health Network (UHN).
My journey hasn't been easy, but every step of the way I was comforted knowing "the best is in our backyard".  UHN is our safety net, our shining star, and when we need the expertise and care, it is right here.  
UHN cared for me, and now I’m doing my part through We Walk UHNITED in support of UHN, Canada’s #1 hospital.
I know I send these emails annually, but this time it is very personal.  I invite you to join me in supporting UHN through a gift of any amount. Your donation fuels the bold ideas that help UHN go beyond the status quo and achieve what’s never been done before.
