Walking UHNITED: Community Advocacy for a Healthier World

Friday 29th May
Last year May I participated in the fundraising event of UHN Foundation and #TeamUHN called WE Walk UHNITED (WWU). #WWU is very special because the event brought a lot of communities within the GTA together especially the 2km/5km walk that was part of the activity of the event. On first hand, I see people power through the cold and the temporary discomfort of walking a long distance because of the significance and the symbol that the Walk holds for them for example some people dedicated the walk to loved ones that are bravely fighting health challenges, personally I dedicated the walk to my daughter ON who I am praying continues to stay inspired by my dedication to things that truly matter like the future of health!

This year when University Health Network was announced and officially ranked the #2 hospital in the world, it was a full circle moment and a testament that the efforts of philanthropy, the donations, and advocacy for better health for example through WWU are paying off and are being stewarded appropriately.

We are walking UHNited again this year and I want to invite you to join us with your resources. The vision is very clear, a healthier world! Let's stand UHNited as we work towards this goal.
