Please help us make things safer and more accessible

Our team's goal is to work with individuals with disabilities and their caregivers to ensure they have the tools they need to live safely, independently, with dignity. 

The problems our team is trying to solve include:

• Prevent slipping in icy weather with advanced footwear and slip prevention training
• Improving the design of intersections to keep pedestrians with disabilities safer, particularly in the winter
• Preventing damage to wheelchairs during air travel
• Preventing caregiver back pain/injury
• Remove barriers to employment in parks for people with disabilities
• Preventing pressure injuries (bed sores)

Many of our projects involve attacking stubborn problems that impact large numbers of people in Canada. However, finding funding for this type of work is getting increasingly difficulty, partly because of the events in the US.
