On May 31st, We Walk UHNITED to honour our medical heroes.

We Walk UHNITED for our loved ones battling disease.

We Walk UHNITED for our big bold dreams to cure disease.

Every one of us has a story. We have all been deeply affected by disease.

Some of us have been confronted with a shocking and destabilizing diagnosis. Some of us have spent countless hours in hospital waiting rooms, hoping and praying for a loved one. We feel helpless and vulnerable. Our futures are not within our control.

In these moments of crisis, we leave our trust in the hands of our healthcare teams.

In these moments when our loved ones are sick, we want to see the very best doctors in the world.

I am grateful every day to have access to some of the best doctors in the world right here, at UHN, Canada’s #1 hospital.

The best doctors can work anywhere in the world. They come to UHN because of the generosity of our community, which supports their big bold ideas to cure disease.
