I walk UHNITED to help ensure that the hospital network has the funds it needs to provide the excellence in care that any and every patient deserves, and so those employed by the hospital network are treated with respect and kindness themselves.

Just about three years ago I had an unknown medical event occur that, after an MRI at Toronto General at 3am, was revealed to be a cerebellar stroke. I have firsthand experience of the professionalism, care, and thorough investigation of the neurological team at the Stroke Clinic at Toronto Western Hospital. It's known as the best stroke hospital in the province for a reason, and I can attest that this is true. While I was young to have a stroke, and the reason will forever remain a mystery despite tests, I have only experienced respect for myself and concerns, and shared concern for why this happened and if it should happen again.
