I'm walking in the UHNited Walk to help make a difference and raise funds for research that will benefit generations to come.


I am a proud patient of Toronto General Hospital and was incredibly fortunate to receive a heart transplant. Heart disease affects many families, and it has had a significant impact on mine.


When you face a serious health condition and are able to come out the other side, it changes your perspective on life. Facing death makes you realize just how precious life truly is. I couldn't have done this without my family. It is because of their love and support that I found the strength to fight and get through this.


I am deeply thankful to the doctors and nurses at this hospital for the care and compassion they showed me. I'm also forever grateful to my donor and their family for making such a selfless decision during an incredibly emotional time. That decision saved my life.


Since receiving my heart transplant, my life has changed in ways I could never have imagined, and I am committed to honoring that gift by supporting the research and care that make miracles like mine possible.
